The Last Supper is a painting created by Leonardo da Vinci on request of Duke Ludovico Sforza. The painting represents the scene of The Last Supper from the final days of Jesus, as is told in the bible. In this scene Jesus announces one of his Twelve Disciples would betray him. The Last Supper depicts the reactions of the Disciples after Jesus made his announcement, the Disciples all have different expressions.

The Last Supper is one of the finest pieces of art, with its enormous size. In agreement with other paintings of The Last Supper from that time, Leonardo took over the concept of painting all persons at 1 side of the table so no person would be shown at his back.
